So I just found out this evening that my former employer made an annoucement to their remaining this afternoon, letting them know that they sold their book of business to a company in Cincy.  Part of the deal was suppose to be that the buyer would keep the staff and run it as a satellite office but “once the contract was signed, the buyer said that wasn’t the case”  Yea like I believe that!  The current staff will probably stay on board another 2-3 months to smooth out the transition for the clients but effective today they are on the buyers payroll…….

What a pretty crappy thing to do at this time of the year.  THANK GOD I got out when I did, this just reinforces that I made the right decision!!!  I just feel so bad for those 6 whose lives were just turned upside down this afternoon.  For the most part I worked with those women for about 10 years or more and they are really good people and certainly don’t deserve what was just handed to them today.

Oh almost forgot this part….all of the above took place after a morning visit from a lady (who rumor has it) was from the IRS

Over the past couple of years my space has become so cluttered and unorganized.  For at least the last 6 months I’ve been saying that I’m going to get it all cleaned up and better organized.  But every time I go to start I am quickly discouraged because I feel so overwhelmed and I have no idea where and how to start!  So i just keep cleaning the same areas and nothing ever looks any different.

Anyone out there got any great starting out tips?

 A lot has been going on in my world even though I haven’t posted an entry in awhile. I am finally at a point that I can write about my major change that will be happening on December 1, 2008.

 After 13 ½ years at my current job the time has come for me to move on. I went through a lot of soul searching on my end and found that this is the best move for me and my family. But change is good. I am very excited about the new path I am taking and I’m very much looking forward to the new challenges and responsibilities that lie ahead.
