Well it is official with this morning’s weigh in…..since January 1st I have now said GOOD-BYE to 10 un-welcomed pounds!!!! I am very satisfied with the progress I have been making especially considering I have yet to incorporate a daily exercise routine.

Just a quick update on the weight loss journey. Since the beginning of the year I am down close to 8 pounds. Not to shabby!!!
I am struggling with getting in the exercise during the week, mainly because when I get home from work I tired and have no desire. I know that I will be able to find some sort of schedule that will work for me, so in the meantime I am just continuing to focus on my eating habits.
I have a couple of before pictures to post on here but the feature is not allowing me to upload pictures at the moment, so I’ll have to come back to that.
That’s my update for now!

So far not doing too bad on the weight loss journey. I am officially down to 1 pop a day which is wayyyy better than the 4-5 I used to have every day. There have been a couple days that my schedule did not lend itself to exercise but I’m still trying to get some form of exercise in every day.
Last weekend I bought Dancing with the Stars for my Wii. It wasn’t exactly what I expected, for some reason I thought it actually taught you how to do the dances. But it’s still fun and definitely gets my heart rate elevated!
A week or so into this journey and I am so excited to report a 5 pound loss with just the minor changes that I’ve made so far. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next couple of weeks when I am completely ‘pop free’.

So this afternoon I dusted off the ole Wii Fit and began the transformation process to the new me. I was quickly slapped in the face with reality when I took the body test and got weighed. My Wii Fit age was calculated to be 44 (yikes I’m only 35!) and I’ve gained 23.6 pounds since the last time I used it (sometime in mid June).
But I sucked up that startling news and pushed on. I managed to do 30 minutes today consisting of the basic and advanced step aerobics, hula hoop, and ski jumping (I think that is what it’s called). Gosh I feel so silly doing the hula hoop, good thing I do this in the privacy of my own house lol I’ve never managed to collect more than 5 hoops and it’s driving me crazy!

As most people do when the new year approaches, they make a resolution to lose weight. Well you can count me as one of those people for 2009. Failure is not an option!! For the past year or so I’ve used the stress of my previous work situation as a crutch for my weight issues. Well that crutch has been taken away as of December 1st.
I am now currently weighing in at my highest weight ever all the while my self esteem is at an all-time low. I am tired of my knees hurting all the time, which I am sure is due to the extra weight I have been carrying around for the last 2 1/2 years.
My first focus on this journey is to break my addiction to Soda Pop all together. It won’t be an easy addiction to break but I’ve done it once before so I know it’s not impossible. Once I get a handle on that my next major focus will be on exercise. I have several avenues at my disposal i.e., Wii Fit, an exercise DVD and a treadmill to assist with this during the cold months.
Stay tuned to check on my progress! I am expecting amazing changes ahead for me in 2009!
